QlikView Personal Edition Licence

Hello,

I've created a file with QlikView Personal Edition v.10 and after some modifications made (on the same computer)

I get the message : "This QlikView document has been recovered more times that is allowed by your Qlikview Personal Edition Licence"

Thanks,

Marius.

Any time you open the application from any other machine and user than the session where the QlikView Personal Edition was installed will count as a change of license, and there are 4 possible changes, after that, the document cannot be opened unless you have a license, and throws the message that you are seeing now.

Yes,

I'll proceed with the upgrade

Thanks,

Marius

Hello Marius,

Have you been using the same user and session all the time? Are you using the SR1 of v10 (Help menu, About QlikView...)?

In QV personal edition , qlikview allow recovery of document maximum 3 times . so if you try after that then you will get posted error.

I'm using the same user (it might be possible to be opened once by another installation from network )

The version is : 10.00.8715.0409 (what is SR1 ?)

I save it more than three times - I suppose this was the problem.

Thanks,

That is the Initial Release, just i case, I'd upgrade to the latest version (SR1, available to download in the downloads section above).

Hello,

Unless a recent change had been done to the licensing system, QlikView Personal Edition allows you to save as many times as you need provided you and only you are sving that document in the very exact session the Desktop was installed.

What it might be happening to you is that you have done some changes from a different computer (which counts as one change) and then did some other changes in the computer you installed (counts as another change). Doing twice this makes this error to show up.

Regards.

I was advised to install the newest version (my current release has this problem).
