Qlikview Reports

Hi

I'm using reporting functionality out of the box in qlikview and it seems the objects that i'm adding to the reports through report editor always need to be shown in order for them to be printed in a pdf.

I would like to hide them and just give a button to the user so that they can just print the pdf report.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi

I used to create all objects for the pdf report in one sheet, I hide for the end users (Sheet Properties -> Conditional =0)

Yes, the Show/Hide conditions, as well as Calculation conditions, apply the same way in the report as they do on the screen. The trick is to hide them away on a hidden sheet, but keep the objects themselves un-hidden, as described in the previous response.

If you'd like to create a button instead of the menu option, you can use an Action "Print Report", you just need to refer to the reports by their IDs.

cheers,
