QlikView server is the server version of QlikView. It provides access to and management of large numbers of QlikView apps (aka documents) for a large number of users. The QMC is the management console for administering the QlikView server environment. Qlik Sense also has a QMC for managing it's environment, but let's not confuse matters. Publisher is add-on for QlikView server that facilitates greater flexibility in scheduling, publishing / distributing QlikView apps.
