Hi All,
I am having an issue Ranking by 2 dimensions. The attached example shows 3 fields, Group, Name and Value.
What I need to achieve is rank the Names by Value for the top 5, for each Group. The Pivot table shows the Group and Names but I only want to see the top 5 for each Group.
I can rank by 1 dimensions as the Rank by Customer object shows, but I cannot get the Rank By Group by Customer to work.
At this stage I do not mind if the solution is a Straight or Pivot table.
In advance, thank you for the assistance.
Regards - John.
1. Go to expression tab write sum(values)
2. go to sort tab select dimension then in sort by select check box Expression and in drop down list descending
in list box type expression if(rank(sum(values)<5), sum(values))
3. press ok
anant
Use straight table-> dimension limit (for second dimension)
