How to convert date format DD-MM-YYYY into Year ?

Hi Anil babu 

I am facing an issue with converting date and time to year . and i am new to qlik

in the excel sheet the format has like 12/2/1987  12:00 ,i want to change  as year , i am using in year filter 

please
