Remodeling e.g. Excel data - what is possible?

Hi,

in our company, we have quite a few reports in MS Excel which can currently not be loaded into QlikView because they have been designed over time so as to be as user-friendly and intuitive as possible, resulting in a series of worksheets with every kind of empty columns and rows (to keep different areas apart).

What I would like to know: What is - and what isn't - possible using the QlikView functionality in the script? Is there any material available to make myself familiar with the possibilities and the Know-how of re-modeling MS Excel files so they can be loaded?

From everything I gather I get the impression that this will be the actual focus of my job here since once the data can be loaded, the rest is (supposedly) child's play.

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,
