Report generation for Qlikview

Hi

Does anyone know of a report writer that can be used in conjunction with Qlikview? We are getting some pretty complex report requirements from our users for fixed reporting, and Qlikview's reporting capability doesnt seem to offer the flexibility we are looking for

Maybe you can look at the product such as NPrinting.

Thanks

But does NPrinting not rely on the report being created in Qlikview first? Can 'complex' reports be created outside of Qlikview in NPrinting?

Hi, Mike.

All NPrinting needs from QlikView are the QlikView objects. These can be extracted to a number of different templates - excel, word, ppt. etc where you can use the native formatting to build a report as a word document, powerpoint or an excel spreadsheet for example.

Also, you can then automatically send those reports to users/recipients by email attachment or send to a directory or Google drive for the user to pick up.

The advantages of this are:

The recipients are usually more comfortable viewing reports in well known MS Office formats.

You also save on licence costs as the user doesn't need a QlikView licence to view the data.

Users can amend the data within the limits of the template (so an table downloaded to excel can be amended like any other excel table).

Bear in mind that these are reports outside of QlikView so you do not get the ability to interrogate and drill though the data as you would within a QlikView app. This is for reporting only.

Regards,

Neil
