SAP confused

Hi Everyone

I am trying to extract data from SAP via QlikView SAP connector. So far I have established SAP connection to the SAP systems successfully.

Here is where I am lost. I don't have much exposure to SAP, this is my first time.

  • When you connect to DB via ODBC connection you are able to select database, tables & field you want to access. how do you do the same with SAP.
  • How do you even find out if your user id has access to which tables in SAP.

Please help and explain in beginers term, I have 0 knowledge of SAP.
