Selections in bookmark disappear when changing year

Hi,

I have a bookmark with some predefined selections in my app - supplier A, year 2013 and months 7,8 an 9 (Q3)

When I change the months, supplier A is still selected. But when I change year, the selection of supplier disappears.

Can someone please explain why? I cannot find any triggers in the document properties and there is data for the other years, so it's not like there is data missing.

Thanks.

When you change year, is the previously selected supplier greyed out or is it still available to be selected?

Hi,

Bookmarks will just apply selections which are bookmarked earlier, if you make any selections then based on the new selections the values are displayed.  May be for the selected year there is no data for that supplier.

If you don't want the selections to change then try like this

Apply Bookmark-> Lock your selections by using Lock icon in toolbar.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,

Jagan.

The supplier is not greyed out. And when I select it again and select the year I wanted to change to, there is data.

Maybe it works like this:

As the selected months (2013-07, 2013-08 and 2013-09) are no longer applicable when selecting 2014, these selections must of course disappear. So maybe then Qlikview treats all selections the same, if some go all the others must too?

That shouldn't be the case that all others must go too. When you select a different year the bookmarked suppliers gets deselected. Is it possible to directly select it again?

If possible, would you be able to upload a sample qvw file with your data and a document bookmark with your selections where the issues is occurring? This could very likely help to solve the problem asap.

Hi

Qlikview clears the selections only if your new selection is incompatible with the previous selection, such as if you click on a greyed out item in a list box. QV cannot apply both selections, so it clears the earlier one. Perhaps you are selecting a bookmark and then making an incompatible selection so QV clears the selection of the bookmark.
