Slow Data Return to Dashboard Charts

I'm running QlikView for Windows version 11.20.12577.0 SR8 64 bit. I've created a dashboard, and have loaded several million records into it from a SQL Server 2014 database. This data is spread across about 21 different SQL Sever views.

The QVW is a little over 1 GB in size. The machine that I am running QlikView from has 8 virtual processors installed (Intel Xeon). The speed is 2059 Ghz, and 56 GB of memory. The OS is Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter 64 Bit.

Some of the tabs contain reports that have yet to fully render. When on those tabs, the processor pegs at 100% utilization and stays there for as long as the tab is active. The memory utilization never gets higher that 25%.

The server that hosts the dashboard is different than the server where the SQL Server database resides. Network speed runs anywhere from 8 KBPS to 136 KBPS.

The QVW file itself is a little over 1 GB in size. In order to save the file after a reload, I have to move to a dashboard tab that requires very little resources, and then save the file. Otherwise, the file completely locks and I have to force it to close.

The drive that the QVW file sits on has 126 GB of free space.

I'm new to QlikView and not completely familiar with its tolerances. I'm trying to figure out why I am having these performance issues.

It appears that, when I move to a tab where the data return takes a long time, that the return data starts anew, and that nothing is being cached.

Thank you for your help.
