I have just downloaded the free version and tried to pull an excel (xls) file into QlikView. Spend about half an hour. No luck. Tried the ODBC options - but no lock.
Can somebody help me - or give me a link where is given in detail what to do so that I can try it again.
You can either open the excel file from the file Menu or from the load script.. To open the excel file using file menu,just click open. go to the directory in which excel file is saved.click on it. It will open in qlikview.
TO open it from edit script, you need to press ctrl+E from main sheet and click on table files and go to the directory in which excel file is saved,click on the file and open it.
