My security team is telling me that QlikView's SNMP is blocking Windows SNMP. Before I turn it off, I asked my QV admin why it was turned on. She has no clue why it was on. Documentation says that it is turned off by default so someone turned it on.
My question is what kinds of applications would interact with my QMC? Are there bolt-ons or third party tools that require it or automatically modify the ini file that controls this setting? What features, if any, in QMC requires it to be on to interact with external request?
We're running 11.20.12235.0 and we use some of these to interact with QlikView:
EDX
SAP & SalesForce connector.
But I can't think of any reason why any of these would be sending requests to the QMC.
