What is the Quarantined time for document CAL?

Hi,

I have assigned one document CAL to user. But now the user is resigned from my company. Can i remove that document CAL under that user. If so, what is the process. and when I can get back(quarantine time) that document CAL?

Thanks.

Hi Amelia,

The quarantine period for Document CAL is 24 Hours. After 24 hours the user will be able to access the application.

Yes you can remove that user license from QMC and it is a normal process, nothing special.

As you know, a license is assigned to a identified user. Another user cannot use the license once assigned. For a named and document CAL is designed to require a 24 hour unused period before a different user can use it. The server handles this automatically.

However, sometimes you would like to release the license for another user, in order to use this you'll have to put the license into "quarantine". This means nobody can use this license until the 24 hour unused period has elapsed, when the license gets released back into the pool.

Why do you want to put it in quarantine? This prevents the original user to use the license and thereby acquiring and keeping the license.
