conflict between dimensions

Hi all

I have the following problem:

I developed a model that contains several tabs. in these tabs i have sevral common dimensions, such as: date and city. But i have also dimensions unique dimensions in each tab. Since each tab presents a different angle of the business.

In certain situations it creates conflicts: You choose a dimension in the expenses tab (which is unique for expenses), and it's reflected incorrectly on other tab views (because of the relationship between the tables).

I thought about some solutions:
1. To use set analysis (complex not solve all kinds of problems)
2. To write a macro that  make sure that only the common dimensions remain when moving between tabs

i would love to hear if you have any  ideas? Have you seen this problem and how you deal with it?

Many thanks,
Solomon
