What is the difference between pie chart and gauge chart?

Pie chart: will give one dimension, and will use show the visual distribution

gauge chart dies't required any dimensions  will work with only measure

Pie Chart:

*Accepts dimensions one or two.

*Available in circular format only

Gauge chart:

*Dimensionless chart

*Comes with Traffic light , speed meter etc

Pie: Pie charts normally show the relation between a single dimension and a single expression, but can sometimes

have two dimensions. This is used mainly if you want to show % shares as individual pie's.

Gauge: Gauge charts are used to display the value of a single expression without dimensions.
