Can I get a new license and apply it to QMC-System - License-update License from server?
When this is applied, does the Task schedule or other applied setting values not disappear?
Hi @qwebnm,
You need to contact your Qlik account manager for any licensing needs. They are the only folks within Qlik who can assist you by providing licenses. Qlik article How to License a QlikView Server or Update the License details steps on how to update QlikView licenses.
If you currently have QlikView Publisher licensed, then applying a new license/LEF will not effect any existing tasks. If you do not have Publisher licenses and are only using the Reload Engine of QlikView Server, applying a Publisher license will remove all existing tasks. This is working as designed as is covered in the online QlikView Help and article Licensing Publisher will delete all previously created tasks. If you are provided a signed license key (SLK) and Publisher is provisioned within the license, then the same scenarios apply: If Publisher is already licensed, applying SLK will not effect any existing tasks. If you do not have Publisher licensed, applying SLK with Publisher provisioned within the SLK will remove all existing tasks. Make sense? Qlik partner @RaviGinqo wrote a great article about this - Applying SLK in QlikView Management Console clears the QlikView Tasks
Hope this helps.
Best Regards
