I am working on upgrade plan for Qlikview. I know 12.20 SR6 is most recent release. I want to know when it was released as we are hesitated to pick a release less than 30 days.
I appreciate if you can suggest a release in 12.20 that we should go to.
I don't think there is any reason why you shouldn't pick up the most recent service release, unless some serious anomaly pops up. Most if not all service releases are just sets of bug fixes, meaning that many people are anxiously waiting for a new SR to appear (to pick it up immediately) instead of waiting for an SR to expire.
You can always search the community or the support KB for mentions of a particular Service Release. If it contains breaking "features", they will be reported rather rapidly. IMHO historical SRs with really serious problems were fixed and re-released by Qlik itself within a matter of days. And on the same level, patches for problems that don't warrant a change in release schedule can be had in less than a week as well.
As a compromise, you could check the release notes for the latest SR and decide whether the included bug fixes present real Added-value to your environment.
