Qlik Enterprise Manager Release Notes - November 2021 Initial Release
* License(s):From Qlik Enterprise Manager 6.1, in order to use Qlik Enterprise Manager, new and existing customers will need to install a valid "Replication Management" license.
Customers (new and existing) who wish to use the optional Replication Analytics module will also need to install a "Replication Analytics" license to enable the module's features.
* Skipping versions:In addition to these release notes, customers are also encouraged to read the GA release notes for all versions later than their current version as well as the cumulative release notes for the last Service Release of the previous version.
Migration and Upgrade
Before upgrading, it's important to review the migration and upgrade considerations below.
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 Upgrade/Installation Prerequisite
- Using the Setup Wizard - It is preferable for .NET Framework 4.8 to be installed on the Enterprise Manager Server machine before running Setup. If .NET Framework 4.8 is not present on the machine, Setup will prompt you to install it. This November require the machine to be rebooted when the installation completes.
- Silent Installation – The ISS file required for silently installing Enterprise Manager must be created on a machine that already has .NET 4.8 installed on it.
Upgrade paths
Qlik supports four Enterprise Manager versions (including this one).
Direct upgrade is supported from the last two versions only (including any service releases for those versions). The last two versions are Enterprise Manager May 2021 and Enterprise Manager November 2020.
Upgrading from Enterprise Manager April 2020 (6.6)
If you are upgrading from Enterprise Manager April 2020 (6.6), you need to perform two upgrades. First upgrade to Enterprise Manager November 2020, and then upgrade to Enterprise Manager November 2021.
Upgrading from unsupported versions
If you are upgrading from Enterprise Manager 6.x (starting from 6.3), you first need to upgrade to Enterprise Manager 6.5, then to Enterprise Manager November 2020 (7.0) and finally to Enterprise Manager November 2021.

Compatibility with Related Qlik Products
- Qlik Replicate - Enterprise Manager November 2021 is compatible with Replicate November2021, Replicate May 2021, Replicate November 2020, and Replicate April 2020.
- Qlik Compose - Enterprise Manager November 2021 is compatible with Qlik Compose August SR1 2021 only.
- Qlik Compose for Data Lakes - Qlik Enterprise Manager November 2021 is compatible with Compose for Data Lakes April 2020 (6.6) only.
- Qlik Catalog - Qlik Enterprise Manager November 2021 is compatible with Qlik Catalog November 2021 only.

Notifications
The following task notifications were added:
Processing Status:
- Task was started manually or by the Scheduler - Notifies when the task is started manually or by the Scheduler.
- Task was stopped manually or by the Scheduler - Notifies when the task is stopped manually or by the Scheduler.
Errors and Warnings:
Any Warning - Notifies when a warning is issued in the system.
Extended Compose integration
Extended Compose support was first introduced in Enterprise Manager May 2021 SR2.
The following functionality is now supported when working with Qlik Compose August 2021 or later:
- Monitoring of Data Lake projects
- Monitoring of workflows - Note that monitoring information is provided at the workflow level only. For information on individual tasks in the workflow, you need to drill-down to the Compose project from Enterprise Manager.
- Monitoring tasks that have the same name, but are defined in different Compose projects. To facilitate such support:
The newly supported functionality has also been incorporated into the following API methods (REST, .NET, and Python): GetTaskList, GetTaskDetails, RunTask, and StopTask.
Support for Microsoft Edge Browser
This version introduces support for accessing the Enterprise Manager console using the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser.
End of life/support features

Impending end of support
Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser
From Enterprise Manager May 2022, Microsoft Internet Explorer will no longer be supported.
Resolved defects
In order to maintain compatibility with Replicate, many of the fixes that were made to Qlik Replicate November 2021 have been merged to Qlik Enterprise Manager November 2021. Therefore, customers who install Qlik Replicate November 2021 should also install Qlik Enterprise Manager November 2021.
