There is currently no way to start a Qlik task from a given LSN via the Enterprise Manager API. It seems the only start task control via API is by timestamp. While this is better than nothing, it still could produce duplication in a DR scenario when we need to rebuild Qlik tasks from scratch and start from exactly where we left off. The option to start from LSN is available in the UI but we are automating the process and need access via API.
This would add a lot of value when working with sources that do not support resuming from timestamps like Informix. Large DDL operations sometimes overwrite the logs with junk so that replicate can't find back to the previous position. If it had been possible to resume from LSN with the API, db maintenance would go a lot smoother.
