When a qliksense object data is exported to excel, user will not be able to identify what selections has generated the data. Hence current selections should be included in exported excel file.
Hi guys,
I really miss the "inputfield" functionality that was available in QlikView to do small whatif's inside tables and to be able to do much more precise calculations than what ifs we do now with generic variables.
Do you have in the roadmap integrate the inputfield in Qlik Sense?
For me it is a very important must.
Regards, Marcel.
Unfortunately, the reload data action for the button object works only if you are the owner of the Qlik Sense app (Qlik Sense SaaS). In our use case, a user (e.g. analyzer with space edit permissions) should be able to reload the application with changed data from an excel file.
As an app owner I can also just go into the data load editor to reload the app. Please make the reload data action available to other users as well.
Thank you
Christoph
Hello all,
Here is the context :
-we have, like a lot of companies, several environment (like dev, recept, prod, test, preprod, etc..)
-it means we have to report changes between environment in consistent package (like a User Story, a defect)
-for applications, I have already an idea about versionning
-but what for the task, triggers, extension... changes? For exemple, my US can be a new source and then a change in dependancy change between two tasks.
So what I suggest is the ability to force the user to write a comment, like a US number... or why not change a custom property to understand why this task was changed and also to ease a lot the delivery to other environment.
(yes, I know we can find some change log in QMC but we have several thousands applications, several hundreds of tasks, six or seven teams, several dozens of developer... and it still doesn't explain WHY the change was made. Is it on the US I'm delivering or is it a totally other topic?)
This would really helps my everyday life
The data load editor (Qlik Sense SaaS) is accessible only to the app owner. In a development collaboration process, the user must always be changed first in the Management Console before editing the script. However, only a tenant admin is able to change the app owner.
Please make it easier to access the data load editor or give us the possibility to change the app owner via the hub.
Thanks
Christoph
Hi there,
I am using Qlik Sense and I am a fan of speaking variable names in the sheet editor.
Unfortunately, the "Variables Overview" window is quite small and you can see a lot of "..." very quickly when you are using speaking names for variables. The result ist that you always have to click on the corresponding variables first to see which ones are actually involved. This is particularly unpleasant if the variables only differ in the last part of the name.
Wouldn't it be possible to display the window with a relative width or a larger fixed width than the current one?
What is your opinion about that?
Many thanks in advance.
Greetings from Germany, Tobias Schmundt
Dear Team,
KPI object is the most important object which is used almost in all dashboards. We would like to have some more functionality for the same.
1. Background color change WITHOUT any padding in object
2. KPI object should have action item on its click action
3. More icons object (as in snap b) by default
3. Developer should be able to set label size in KPI else if we have multiple KPI and different length of lable then it looks weird as it resizes automatically. (as in below snap a)
4. Developer should be able to change position of Label/title.

So far it is not possible to disable drag and drop column sorting in straight table, neither through the object settings nor through the API.
It would be useful to have that option in cases where the column() function is used in an expression, if the order of columns is changed the value shown will change.
Thank you.
Many business users complain about the fact they can not update an existing bookmark. When a bookmark needs to be updated, you have to create a new one and suppress the old one. It would be great to make this easier for them by adding an update feature to existing bookmark.
The last SR for QlikView - see: QlikView 12.50 SR4 is now available! - Page 2 - Qlik Community - 1783889 - changed again the formatting settings for Excel exports. Yes, it's known that there could be various errors by the export depending on the scenario in which it's used.
Avoiding any issues with it by setting everything to text is IMO not really a solution else I suggest to implement granular customizable settings at least at document level but better on a dimension/expression level - maybe additionally to the settings within the tab Numbers.
Further a detailed documentation not only to the settings itself else also about the technically background and potentially conflicts in regard to the Excel releases, used platforms, regional settings and so on would be very useful - because a valid problem-solution might not only be approached from the Qlik side else also from the target-environment.
Many thanks!

Hi all,
a lot of customer are asking us if it possible to update the snapshot into the story telling with current data, if user want
Does this function it is in the roadmap?
Thanks
The integration between Qlik Catalog and Qlik Sense to publish apps requires the below property to be set in the core_environment.properties file to select the domain of users to map to in Qlik Sense
qlik.sense.active.directory.name=******
In an environment that has users from multiple domains in their Qlik Sense environment this only allows 1 group of users to be able to publish apps based on there domain. If you are not in the specified domain an error is generated. Ideally this would be changed to allow multiple domains to be configured so that all domain users can utilize this feature.
More and more frequently, customers are asking to restrict access to their tenant for a list of allowed IP/Subnets. It is common to find questions in RFx asking for CASB/IDS/IPS support.
That's an extra security layer which avoid connections from unusual sites.
QCS coud have a new settings in the console to restrict the access to a number ot IP/Subnets. A more flexible settings may have this IP restriction for each space. This would secure the most sensitive content.
Today's SaaS release provides styling for combo chart line and bar settings. Again these have been provided via slider controls. Without a numerical entry facility they do not allow consistent UI design.
Can this be delivered next please ?
The object property clearly has the number range for the slider and the set property. If a user could enter a bar width of 'x' then consistency would be achieved - not hard ?
Many nice features are being added to QS every week, but imo some could be given some additional thought for practical real-world use.
Currently Qlik Web connector supports only Odata 3.0 while all the latest data sources use odata 4.0. This creates a lot of issues. Please update Qlik Web connector to support odata 4.0 as well.
This has annoyed me from the very early versions of Qlik Sense... and I've finally got round to logging it as an idea. I think I hoped it annoyed everyone as much as me and it would get sorted in one of the many UI updates since then, but alas not!
If you have a regular table with lots of rows, understandably the horizontal scroll bar overlaps the bottom row in a semi-transparent way:
However if you filter down so all your data easily fits in the visible area of the table, the horizontal scroll bar still overlaps the bottom row:
This is really puzzling - why not show it BELOW that row or at the bottom of the table area? I prefer showing it just below the last row as it's easier to locate with if there's lots of white space.
The vertical scroll bar is always shown on the right hand side of the table if it's needed - this only overlaps the data in the table if necessary. This is much better - why would it always overlap the last column?
The Qlik container object allowed for right-click exporting when placed into mashups. It was a working functionality used at-large. Later considered a functional bug and removed breaking several existing mashup workflows across the enterprise.
The "sn-org-chart" extension in the new version has a tooltip feature, when we hover over it, which is working as expected when the Touchscreen mode is OFF. But all systems by default has Touchscreen mode ON and the feature doesn't work when the Touchscreen mode is ON.
It impossible to have all the end-users turn the Touchscreen mode OFF manually when its ON to use this feature. A reported Bug QB-4252 has been closed as WAD, because the functionality never exited in the chart before.
As this greatly helps end-users, we (JNJ) request that this feature be added in the product.
Per Qlik Support Case 02172580, I think it would be good if we could auto assign certain Managed Spaces to a new user. We can auto assign them an analyzer license, but we must find out once they have logged in to then grant access to a space. This initial log in is clunky and discouraging to a new user of Qlik. The workaround is to log in as them and then grant access, but using their account is also tedious for every user. Our Qlik SaaS environment is connected with an Azure AD.
