Hi there,
It would be great to have an in-house email server within Qlik SaaS.
Despite setting up Qlik SaaS in January 2023, we are encountering many issues, having to look into third party tools such as: MailChimp and Amazon SES to set this up. As there is no options for OAuth authentication, our internal IT team is reluctant to look into basic authentication as it is deprecated by Microsoft, which Qlik SaaS needs to also consider to look into different authentication processes here.
Here are some reasons why it would be beneficial to have an in-house email server SMTP server in Qlik SaaS:
Data Security: By having an in-house email server, Qlik SaaS can have better control over data security. They can implement robust security measures, such as encryption, access controls, and regular backups, to protect sensitive information exchanged through emails. This reduces the risk of data breaches and unauthorised access.
Privacy and Compliance: Hosting an email server in-house allows Qlik SaaS to adhere to specific privacy and compliance requirements more effectively. They can ensure that data is stored and managed in accordance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), or industry-specific standards.
Customisation and Integration: An in-house email server offers greater flexibility for customisation and integration with other systems. Qlik SaaS can tailor the email server to meet their specific business needs, integrate it with their existing infrastructure, and implement custom features or workflows. This level of control can enhance productivity and streamline communication processes.
Performance and Reliability: With an in-house email server, Qlik SaaS can optimise performance and ensure reliable email delivery. They have full control over the server's hardware, network configuration, and software, allowing them to fine-tune performance parameters and monitor the server's health closely. This reduces the risk of email delays, downtime, or other performance issues.
Reliance on Third Party Software: Instead of relying on third-party email service providers and paying recurring subscription fees, Qlik SaaS can leverage their own infrastructure to manage email communication, potentially resulting in cost savings over time for Qlik SaaS customers.
Seamless Integration with Internal Systems: An in-house email server can be seamlessly integrated with other internal systems and applications used by Qlik SaaS. For example, we can integrate email data with their customer relationship management (CRM) system, help desk software, or analytics platforms. This integration allows for better data synchronisation and workflow automation, leading to improved efficiency and customer experience.
Flexibility and Scalability: With an in-house email server, Qlik SaaS has the flexibility to scale their email infrastructure based on their evolving needs. As their user base grows, they can easily add more server resources or upgrade hardware to accommodate the increased email traffic. This scalability ensures that the email service remains responsive and reliable even during periods of high demand.
Would it be possible to have a Masteritem submenu on the right's editor expression (like variable). It would be easier to select a masteritem instead of to script them.
Thanks
It'd be great to be able to colour the words in a wordcloud by another KPI.
For example, it's fine being able to see that something is the most commonly mentioned word, but if it's always the most common word, it'd be even better to see that it's green - meaning it has been mentioned more times than a previous month. It could highlight in blue if it had never been in the top X mentions before. Alternatively, you could colour it by another dimension (red for common in USA, blue for Europe, etc).
Within Qlik Application Automation we can drag and drop blocks to basically build workflows.
Let's say you want to move 2 lines of blocks it would be great if you can just select both of them move the lines of blocks to the location you want or selecting multiple blocks to delete those blocks.
Right now we have to click the the top block of a line and drag this around or when we want to delete a line of blocks we have to individually delete the blocks. When developing it can be very annoying if you need to delete/move multiple blocks at once.
This change would speed up building/testing/developing an automation.

We would like to see the ability to automatically have metadata like app name, object name and current selections added to a header or footer when exports are done in Qlik Cloud for both Qlik Sense and QlikView apps.
This was really useful in QlikView but has been missed by us and our users in Qlik Cloud.
Hello,
I watch the video about Business Glossary which will be available next week.
We can link a term to an app, and it's a good thing.
But it will be amazing to link a term to a master item !
The definition of a measure could be displayed in the information menu of chart with the lineage.
Regards,
Paul
We would like to have the ability to have access to the sheets logs analysis , in order to be able to identify the access frequency to sheets by user
this feature was already available in Qlik sense enterprise version
As platform owner and developer, I want to add thumbnails not only to apps, but also to other artifacts (such as automations, external links etc.). This is especially beneficial, when it comes to external links.
Here a preview allows for easier identification of the content and creates a more customized and user friendly UI.
When a user is on vacation for a few weeks, or retires, or is fired, or passes away - the tenant admin and analytics admin should be able to change the ownership of this users app. They can do this easily for Shared Spaces.
However - in Managed Spaces, no one can change the app owner at all. Not even the tenant admin.
This is a huge gap in functionality.
The only way to change this is via CLI script.
If the app is used in mashups or embedded iframes, or if the link has been publicized via links on websites, the app if and object ids need to stay the same.
Please correct this gap in functionality and give the admin users a way to do this easily in the Console.
Hello,
It's 2022, and I was wondering if Qlik Sense can implement moveable windows. For instance, when you choose to create or modify an expression, the Expression Editor window takes up the entire screen. Developers should be able to resize or move the window to see what's behind it, to remind them what KPI they are revising, or what measure they are modifying. Or, when you start a Load Script run, move the window so you can see the actual Load Script and make sure you didn't forget to change something before running the load. This can save the developer a lot of time.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
Make it possible to change the dimension name with in filter pane! It would be so awesome if this will be possible in future as it will help a lot in combination with multi language.
Currently it's restricted to the dim. name in the data model. This forces problems in combination with multi language (e.g. creating island table or separate apps...)
Idea:
- Make it possible to use "Filter title" as Dimension name within the filter pane
- Make it possible to use "Master Dim title" as Dimension name within the filter pane
Thanks
Tom
Hello all,
Just watched the video here : https://community.qlik.com/t5/Product-Innovation/Eliminate-Data-Misunderstandings-with-a-Business-Glossary-Now/ba-p/2038431
Pretty cool but as usual for the nicest features, it's only available on cloud while all my customers use QSEOW on premise so that's highly frustrating.
Best regards,
Simon
Hello,
The default Home view is quite overwhelming for a new user.
It is possible to clean it up manually by clicking on Customize your home and removing all the panels that we don’t want to show on the HOME.
Although if we could push a customized home to show only FAVORITES for all users, I think this would help make it much more accessible.
So the Home would look something like this when they first access the cloud. The users can Customize it to whatever view they want once they get more familiar with the Qlik Cloud.
Best regards
Hi there,
On QMC resources,
Would be useful having the option to add a free note to each system resources.
For example, on a specific data connection, a note to assist system administrator to understand what is this connection for.
Best,
Aldo.
I would like to see the Qlikview INPUTSUM() function added to Qlik Sense (Enterprise). This function gives end users the possibility to enter values on a row level in a straight table. This value can be used to make calculations in the same table.
See below for a printscreen (print screen used as created in the community post by @eederleelefon_gt in this post: https://community.qlik.com/t5/App-Development/InputField-and-InputSum-in-QlikSense/td-p/43151 ).
Could we have the option in the Download Screen to allow a end user to cycle through the different values in a dimension and batch downloads, in any of the three export formats. It would be great to do the same and allow for an export of the whole sheet as .jpg/.pdf, again cycling through dimension values.
It would ideally appear as a dropdown to select the dimension or field from the data model. I've highlight where this would ideally appear in the screenshot attached.
Appreciate this overlaps with N-Printing/Qlik Reporting Service but providing this to the end user would give so much versatility and really unlock a lot of value for them, rather than "batch reporting" being seen as something external to Qlik or centrally run.
The process for deleting items in Data Files is pretty well hidden and convoluted.
Please add the option to delete items in Data Files from the Catalog directly.
In the Catalog area, one can filter for Data and the items show up.
However, there is no option to delete from here, which is confusing and counterintuitive. The user has to go somewhere else to delete data file items.
Please add the delete option under the three dot menu for each item shown in the view in the catalog.
if the user has the power to delete the data files item, they should be able to do it right there and not have to go find some other secret place to do it.
(Should be able to do it without having to go into data load editor of an app, and without having to go to Manage Space / Space Details > Data Sources)
The user should be able to go to the catalog,
Filter by the space name
Filter for Data
select the 3 dot button for the item to be deleted and delete the item right there.

for current way it must be done.
For Qlik Replicate with SAP IQ as a target, currently we have transactional mode and batch mode. Transactional mode will not work against SAP IQ as it does not handle OLTP workloads. Batch mode is better for SAP IQ but does not give transactional integrity
This does the following
Begin tran
Delete table a
Commit tran
Begin tran
Insert table a
Commit tran
Begin tran
Update table a
Commit tran
Begin tran
Delete table b
Commit tran
Begin tran
Insert table b
Commit tran
Begin tran
Update table b
Commit tran
Begin tran
Etc
Commit tran
We’d like to raise an ideation to create a new mode “Transactional Integrity Batch Mode”
This will do the following
Begin tran
Delete table a
Insert table a
Update table a
Delete table b
Insert table b
Update table b
Etc
Commit tran
