A certificate error or warning is displayed in the browser when accessing the Qlik Sense Hub or Management Console

End users see an error or warning when accessing the site. Such any of the following:

The site's security certificate is not trusted 
This Connection is Untrusted

This connection is not private

This site is not secure

Environment:

• Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows, all versions

Cause:

 Qlik Sense creates a self-signed certificate for out-of-the box use of https, and therefore untrusted by client computers.

This is not an error, but a warning that the self-signed certificate deployed by the Sense installation is trusted.

Either:

• Purchase and deploy a trusted third party certificate from a trusted authority
• Roll out a domain signed certificate the clients trust, or
• Have the self-signed certificate trusted in the domain's root CA authority
