Dear All,
I'm new in Talend, I need to connect my Talend Open Studio 7.3.1 to my SAP S/4 HANA Database to execute some queries and load data to a MySQL Service.
I tryed to follow many discussion/guides online but I couldn't do this.
I succesfully created in "Metadata" my connection to database type "SAP HANA" but when I drag-drop my connection to my designer, I get the component "tCreateTable" instead a connection.
In "Metadata" i have "Db Connection" but I do not have anything regarding SAP:
In my "Palette" on right I cannot find any "SAP" compoonent.
If I use the component "tDBConnection", I cannot find "SAP HANA" in "Database" list.
Could someone explain me how to connect and extract data fron SAP HANA database?
Thank you in advance for your support,
Fabio
Hello,
Could you please clarify in which Talend version/edition you are? Open studio or subscription solution?
TalendHelpCenter: tSapHanaInput component is available in the Palette of Talend Studio on the condition that you have subscribed to one of the Talend solutions with Big Data not open source.
Here is online component reference about: TalendHelpCenter: Centralizing SAP metadata.
In the Repository tree view, under Metadata, the SAP Connections node is available in talend subscription solution not open source.
With talend open studio, since there is no component in Palatte specifically for HANA in Data Integration Studio, you could make use of jdbc components like tJDBCInput with proper ngdbc.jar file.
Feel free to let us know if it helps.
Best regards
Sabrina
