"Data Mapping Specifications" is intended to subject matter experts, data analysts, and business users to define the mapping requirements of new data integration projects, or to document existing data flow implemented in technologies that cannot be captured by metadata harvesting.
"Data Mapping Design" is intended to data analysts or data integration engineers to design the data mapping with actual transformations (joins, lookups, filters, etc) for forward engineering to ETL tools
Both features require the authoring Edition of Talend Metadata Manager.
