Loading Optimized QVDs - Does this only improve reload speed?

I'm curious if loading optimized QVDs only help with the reload time... For example, if I have an object on a sheet and it takes longer than usual to load... will loading an optimized QVD help with that performance? or just reload speed?

Optimized load is to load data faster, into the app that is all

If you have problems with a slow chart there could be many reasons

1) bad data model

2)complex measures  

3)complex calculated dimensions such as aggregating over a million distinct values

4) Even lack of Ram if you are trying to show thousands of rows

The reasons could be either or ALL of the above
