Qlik Sense Write Back - Extension

Hi,

I have Qlik Sense App with tables (Straight tables / Pivot tables) where the user would like to write comments.

The comments should be visible for other users. In a same way, other users can write back or update the cells values table cells for better collaboration.

Do you know how to do it ? and what are things I need ? Do I need paid extension or is there any free extension?

Thanks

There are a number of writeback and commentary tools on the market for Qlik Sense.

I've used https://insights.vizlib.com extensions which do the job but Polomero Partners and extendbi offer similar solutions dependent on your requirements and budget.

I'd certainly recommend using a certified extensions partner for this kind of capability for piece of mind going forward.

Hi @ogster1974,

Is there any free extension available to achieve this objective ?

not that I'm aware of as it takes a bit of work to build setup.  One day maybe Qlik will buy one of the companies and make it part of their offering like they did with nprinting and the geo maps but until then you'll have to pay extra.

Hi,

We are using an extension developed by Qloud Cover. It is build natively to create Writeback tables in Qlik sheets where you can interactively writeback from existing data in Qlik. One of the benefits of the product is you can choose between a SaaS product or self-hosted. You can configure where to store the data and they support datastores like Snowflake, Redshift BigQuery and AWS Redshift. You can read more about the product at the Qloud Cover website:

https://qloudcover.com/qloud-cover-writeback/

Or you can create a free trail on the product website https://writeback.qloudcover.com/ and get easily started.

Qlik Sense doesn’t support editing table cells natively. For collaborative commenting or updates you’ll need either a custom mashup with a database, or an extension such as SenseOps Writeback that lets users update values in tables and save them back to Excel or other sources.
