Hello,
I am a Qlik Cloud user.
I want to create a table with all my data from any given Load Table presented in rows and columns and in the original load order.
Actually, the table seen by default at the bottom of the page when you turn off 'Advanced Options' is actually completely perfect for my current application which only has one table.
Is there any way to get that table (@qmfe/analytics.TableViewer.Dropdown.Label) as a visualization on a sheet?
Thanks in advance for any help! I'm still quite new to Qlik.
Hi,
You can use the object 'Straight Table' from the 'Qlik Visualization bundle' :
Remark: activate "Advanced options" on the top right corner of the page if you don't see the full menu.
Move this object on your sheet, then click "Add columns" and select "Fields & master items"
You can then select the table you want to display :
By clicking on "Fields" (red circle) you will select all fields from the table
Click on "Add"... all fields from the selected table will be added in the object :
Regards

Thank you very much! This is so much better than adding all the columns manually as I have over 160 of them, and I didn't find this when poking through the table creation options.
I don't suppose there's any way to preserve the original load order, though? Them getting alphabetized is frustrating but I might actually be able to rename them at the source by appending an appropriate number to the start of the field name to get them in the right order here. Still, I'd prefer to preserve the original field names if possible.
Correct, it will add them in an alphabetized order. You can enable the chart exploration
Then when you are in display mode you can easily drag and drop your fields to sort them in a different way.
Okay, thanks for the clarification & your help. I was a bit afraid of that but as you say, reordering is not the end of the world... now to decide if renaming the fields is more improper than spending the better part of an hour sorting them.
So frustrating that Qlik automatically generates a table just like I need (proving how such a representation is inherently useful & desired by users) but yet it is not possible to create the same thing on a sheet without manual reordering!
