Hi @PrashantSangle,

The IDP subject is generated by Qlik and not editable by your end. It also tells you whether the particular user account is using Qlik Account or other IDP in case there was a change in IDP. UserID will remain the same across all IDP for a particular user assuming "email verified" option is selected during IDP validation.

If identity provider (IdP) either has not provided evidence to Qlik Sense that the user's email address has been verified, or Qlik Sense has failed to process the specific IdP's non-standard claim name that indicates that the email has actually been verified. So in such cases you will not see the email address listed under Emails tab. In such scenario, IDP subject comes in handy to filter out which use belongs to which IDP.

Hi @PrashantSangle,

The IdP subject field can be used for distinguishing one user from another if the names are identical and the email field is not visible. It cannot be the same for all users.

FYI: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Admin/SaaS-invite-users....

I hope this calrifies. let me know!

Hello Vinay,

Thanks. Got it. So we can enter any unique value in IdP subject. It is not referring anywhere, only use to distinguish between identical user.

But If I am not wrong, User ID and email ID also do the same. Both field contain unique value.

So not sure what is purpose IdP subject.

Hello Vinay,

Thanks for details explanation. Now I got it use of IdP subject.

But, I disagree with one statement that IdP Subject is generated by Qlik. I did some R & D at my end & found that, we can also give IdP Subject to user by any random string only thing that it must be unique.

Thanks & Regards,
