Ajax vs IE Plug-in

Hi All,

Are there any chart objects or properties that are not suitable in Ajax compared to IE-Plugin.

I believe all the calculations are done on the client machines for IE plug-in whereas for Ajax the calculations happen at server and say for a pie chart the image of the pie is rendered? Is that true?

I am looking at matching speeds while we have switched from IE Plug-in to Ajax.

thanks,

Rajesh Vaswani

No, this is NOT right. In both the cases the calculation(apart from macros, ajax macros are done server side and Plugin Client side) happen at the server.

Yup that's right, the QlikView CPU does them. Will the graphic image of the chart come from the server as well in  both the cases or its created on the client for IE Plugin? Any comments on object types suitable for Ajax as well as IE? It might seem stupid to ask something like that? Let me know.

Thanks,
