How does scheduled tasks work from QMC ?

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering how the scheduled tasks are performed ? Are they someway related to the Windows task scheduler ? Or is the QV system totally independant ?

Hi Laura.

QV have totally independant system. In QlikView server with Publisher Schedule assigned tasks stored in c:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\Tasks\ as XML files.

Also U can reload document from external. simply use followin command C:\\Program Files\Qlikview\Qv.exe" /r "\\blabla\App_2.qvw"

Hi Laura,

QV tasks runs through QMC, Windows scheduler has nothing to do with this. In case tasks are running late, or getting interrupted, then we restart the QMC related services.

For QV tasks, windows task scheduler has no role to play.
