Send to excel from access point doesn't work

Hello everyone,

I open an application in Access Point using AJAX zero foot print. Then, I right click on a table and click on "send to excel". Another Internet explorer tab opens up and then I get the "HTTP 404 error page not found".

What can I do ?

Thank you for your help

Do you have Excel available on that Server?

Can you open an excel sheet outside of Access Point?

Hi Alan,

There is not Excel on the Qlikview server. But I don't think that matters. Because in another company I worked for, an excel file (.xls) was created even if there wasn't excel.

Any ideas ?

Hi Laura,

Can you check the following folder on your server to see if any excel files are being generated:

\\<YOUR QLIKVIEW SERVER>\c$\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Temp

Thanks

It's my understanding you will need to add an Excel license to this server

All the best

Hi Mark,

I don't have exactly the same path. The only "Temp" folder I find is :

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher\Qlikview Distribution Service\1\Temp

And Inside, there are 2 folders with names like 186c89db-0680-44be-869a-7d9a88490f6a

both files have been created in the past hour. But there is nothing Inside.

Thanks again for your help

Does right click export work?

Hi,

To start you do not need excel or a license for excel on the QVS server. Are you seeing any errors when you are trying to export the file? The excel files should be created in the default location of c:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Temp and you should be able to see them there.

Is the QVS setup Cluster?
