User access changes without making changes in QMC

Hello,

I have some users that experience differences in their stream or application access. Sometimes they have access to a certain stream or app and sometimes their access changes. So at one moment they have access and the next moment they don't, then some days later they have access again. When it happens on stream level, they don't see the stream in their view while they used to have access to it. When it happens on app level, they have access to some other apps in the stream, only for certain apps they will get a notification like: access denied. This happens while they used to have access to all apps in that stream. They are supposed to have full access to the corresponding streams/apps.

The changes happen while there are no changes made in the QMC. Anyone knows what the cause could be?

This should not happen. Do you have conflicting statements for access? If not try to get some screenshots and such and contact support about this.

The stream does have multiple access rules with differences in the type of access (reading, publishing, deleting etc.). So some users have full access and some have only reading. Is it possible that these multiple rules generate conflicts?

That would be my guess yes. You will have to clean it up or go through every one and see if there is any conflicts. Keep in mind that users can be referenced to in different ways. This will be a pain to check if there is a lot of access rules.

Thanks for your replies, I also think cleaning up will be the biggest change of solving this.
