Can anybody help me in setting an email alert so that if there is any failure in tasks running in QMC the user would get an alert on it.
For all kind of tasks like Reload, Publish and Distribution tasks.

Open QMC, go to SYSTEM tab --> under that click on QDS , there you will find alert email tab --> add the email-id's over there

I tried this but this is not working
Any other option is there.
Did you setup your SMTP ? u need one for it to work i think.
When I do test mail I am receiving the mails but If a task fails it is not sending any alert mails even if I added my email id in the appropriate place.
or perhaps you could share your setting in screen shot?
just to be precise, where i put my email address..
it's in System > Setup > Distribution Service > Alert Email.
and don't forget to check your junk box, and only fail task will trigger the mail.
It got worked once we restarted the machine.
