Corrupted QVW File: This file contains inconsistencies and cannot be opened by personal edition

It is possible to recover a corrupted qvw file sdeveloped from Personal Edition?

This model was developed on Qlikview personal edition and it give the following error when trying to open it on the same pc:

"This file contains inconsistencies and cannot be opened by personal edition"

I am a attempting to use the Easter Egg method on QV11 where this  corrupted QVW file exists.  Where is "Layout Rescue" ? and "Script Rescue"  in QV11?.

In the Menu, go to Help ----> About Qlikview.

Then Right click on the QlikView icon in the lower left hand corner.

You will see a list of options there, in that you will find "Script Rescue" and "Layout Rescue".

have you changed/transferred to the other computer and modified it? and have performed all four or more recovery attempts?

If that is what happened with you then i am afraid you want able to recover it as file created by personal edition

then it can be opened on same computer any no of times but there is limitation on other computer.

howerver if you can manage to get valid licence key then there is good chance or if you have copy of original

then that is best.

Hi everyone,

We had a corrupted file as well.

I try every possible solution I could think of.

1)Open it without data

2)easter egg hidden menu variables Script Rescue,Application Rescue. Could not find the variable LayoutRescue to try as well does anyone know where is located ??? We used 11.20 SR5 version.

3)Tried to recreate it through -prj folder

Any other ideas??

Is it possible to deactivate the image popup on the document setting from the hidden menu?? we can not open the document as its corrupted.
