Hello, everyone.
We are on QlikView 12.50 SR4 and what i want to do is to set as default browser for a specific document the AJAX client so i did the following:
The problem is that now everytime i click on this document in Access Point i have to choose if i want Ajax or Mobile Device Client before the document opens
Is thre a way that i can suppress this selection and by selecting this document only the Ajax client to be used by default?
I was able to reproduce your issue by using the same settings you are using:
QMC > System > Setup > QlikView Web Servers > QVWS@ > AccessPoint tab > AccessPoint Settings > Default Preferred Client set to IE plugin and QMC > Documents > QVW.name > Server tab > Availability tab > Access Method set to Full Browser and Small Device Version.
If the QMC > System > Setup > QlikView Web Servers > QVWS@ > AccessPoint tab > AccessPoint Settings > Default Preferred Client is set to Full Browser and Small Device Version, then the QVW opens directly when clicking the thumbnail.
Do you have the Default Preferred Client for IE Plugin in QMC > System > Setup > QlikView Web Servers > QVWS@ > AccessPoint tab > AccessPoint Settings because you want this to be the default client for all other QVWs? And only want Full Browser and Small Device Version as default client for this one specific app?
Best Regards
I am using IE plugin as default client because i have some reports with graphs that my users copy to clipboard as images in order to embed them in presentations.
Recently i created a new app that opens various pdf files and as you well know in QV 12.50 SR4 Open URL and Launch actions are disabled in IE plugin so i want this new app to be opened ONLY in Full browser client.
Unless the preferred default client matches IE Client (QVWS - Accesspoint) with the document setting (AJAX ) you will get that pop when you try to open a document where those settings mismatch.
@Lucas_Gatling thank you for your timeand effort, you too also @Chip_Matejowsky
I believe that the time has come for me to pick Full Browser Client as prefered client for all of my documents
