Hi everybody,
I'm having troubles with the association wizard in Qlik Sense 2.2.3. It seems that Qlik Sense does not understand the relationship between two tables with the same key. I'm basically loading my tables using the Data Manager, however, Qlik automatically changes the name of my fields. When I try to force their association the Data Manager warns me that my fields have 0% relationship and recommends to stop the association, even though the fields contain exactly the same values as shown in the picture below.
Does anybody have an idea why this might be happening (both fields contain numeric values)?
Thank you very much,
Stefano Draghi
Are you sure both fields contain real numbers? Perhaps one field contains text values that look like numbers, but really aren't.
I'm pretty sure, Gysbert. When I load each table individually, Qlik treats them as numbers.
Ok, but text values like that are automatically converted to numbers during the load. The Data Manager might be trying to match the original unconverted values.
You could simply load both files separately. Since the field names are the same the tables will be associated using the Id_Aluno field.
Right, the main issue is the Data Manager automatically qualifying the name of the fields. It is possible to change it manually, but I see this as a problem for final users that rely on the associations manager to build their data structure.
It seems to be a bug of version 2.2.3 and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue.
Thanks a lot for the fast answers.
Try Loading the tables separately with different field names and do the inline load with actual names to see if that fixes the issue.
