Hi.
I'm searching some documentation (white papers, articles, blogs, etc.) about using QV for Microsoft CRM: benefits, best practices, etc etc.
Any helps for me, please? Thanks
Hi.
Currently I'm working with QlikView and ms crm.
I did not use any kind of help more than the person who is responsible for setting the ms crm and a program to view the database and so far had no problems.
If you are interested in my help you can give my e-mail.
Regards.
Hi Sandro,
I'm not interesting to look the technical aspects between QV and MS CRM.
I'd like to find some documentation about the advantages/benefits to use QV for CRM. Which kind of reports for MS CRM can be made. I'm searching real case studies, possibly detailed.
Thanks
Hi Sandro,
I am busy trying to develop a model for a client that extracts data from CRM (Accounts, Opportunities, Activities and Users). I am having some problems with the data modelling.
How did you negotiate the different relationships between the tables? For example, Accounts have Activities and Opportunities, but Opportunities also have Activities, etc.
I have come up with a solution to get as close as possible to a star schema, but I am not 100% sure it is the best solution.
Please advise.
Kind Regards-
Sandro. Are you using online CRM? Or on-premise? I'm looking to read the online data. Will I have to build a connector for that?
Hello, yes I am using the online crm.
I have a created a connection through ODBC.
That's what you mean?
Sorry, my English is poor.
Regards.
Yes, I want to connect to our CRM online data that is hosted by Microsoft. I didn't think a regular ODBC connection was capable of that. Can you explain how you did it, or post an example of your script?
Regards
Ha, ok. Your data is hosted on a server outside of Microsoft, now I understand, my data is in a local server in my company.
I never connect that way. Enter your query in the community of QlikView.
Regards.
Alex,
(Your post is rather old, but may be you still need this).
There is ODBC driver for MS CRM Online, beta version yet. See here:

I'm trying it now, having problems with it (and looking for help found this thread), but it works at least with one test environment.
Regards,
Michael
Thanks for the link Michael. The issue is we have CRM Online integrated with Office 365, so I do not think this connecter will work.
But it I will look into this further.
