How the memory usage is beign calculated in qlikview

Is there any specific requirement to know how it is calculated?

i mean that it how being calculated on the bits for each pointer  or how much memory is required by the text values (bytes) or how much memory is required by the pointers(bits) or 2 bit can represent upto 4 values

As far as I know, it is memory for each symbol (field). Each fields of the table internally stored as different symbol table.Symbol table stores the bit stuffed pointer for each distinct field value. So size of the symbol table is depends on the values available in field, if field is having large text , it will occupy more memory. Number values instead take less memory, as it takes less bits.
