Service Accounts password changes

Hello ,

I want to know the process of changing the service accounts passwords and validate if everything works fine. Can you please advise on what places to change the passwords and what all areas to validate?

Service account passwords changes for:

QlikViewIIS - where can I find this service on server

QlikViewSettingsService

QlikViewServer

QlikViewManagementService

QlikViewDistributionService

QlikViewDirectoryServiceConnector

Thanks

Regards

Vindhya

In theory, you should change this service account password everywhere it is being used to log on. Services log on when they start. But to make them accessible to other services, those other services may also be configured to use an account to connect. Check the QMC->System->Setup area. Every service listed has a series of configuration tabs, the last one usually being a Logon tab. Check those as well.

Do you run any Windows Task Scheduler jobs using this service account? If so, save them again. The Configuration dialog will ask again for the matching password.
