Is it possible to access a document directly through a URL? For example...
1.) Paste URL into IE
2.) Login
3.) QV document opens
This would skip the AccessPoint document selection screen. Thanks! Appreciate any help.
You can copy the URL of the link to the document in the access point, it is something like :
http://QLIKVIEWSERVER/QvAJAXZfc/opendoc.htm?document=DOCUMENT.QVW&host=Local
That worked to access the document with the AJAX plugin. Is there a link where I can access the IE plugin?
I've been using IE plugin because some QV formatting doesn't work with AJAX as well as a google maps chart I've added.
I tried the URL above, but it says file not found. I then accessed the document through AccessPoint and copied that URL, which looked something like...
http://QLIKVIEWSERVER/QvAJAXZfc/AccessPoint.aspx?open=&id=Local%7CCS%20PoC/CSPoC.qvw&client=Plugin
That URL took me to the AccessPoint login, then after logging in, it took me to the AccessPoint document selection screen.
The Ajax URL had a browser login popup, and then directly goes to the document.
try qvp://QLIKVIEWSERVER/DOCUMENT.QVW
No luck there either. I tried...
qvp://QLIKVIEWSERVER/CSPoC.qvw
It tried to open the document for a while, then said it could not be opened. Did not get a prompt to login or anything. I also tried logging into AccessPoint first and then tried the above URL, but that didn't work either.
Most likely you will have to use a relative path. Check out this thread:
I tried qvp://../CSPoC.qvw, but it didn't work.
Appreciate all the responses! Maybe it's a setup issue on the server or something. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.
What version are you running? Is the document is a sub-folder of your main user documents. This is work fine for mw in V11.
