How can I display days without sales in Chart.
For example, we take 1 month with sales, but we sale product not every day.
How can I create a Chart with 0 value where there where no sales?
see attached file
is doesn't work for 100% if I ad to demensions a Goods. (demension consists of dates and goods)
The picture QV_E_as is shows hot it is displayed.
The picture QV_E_as we want shows how we would like it to be.
The picture Tables- shows dates in model.
The main idea is that we would QV to add not existing dates.
Hi Alexander,
The answer, I believe is already given to you in parts…
1. Suppress zero
2. Suppress missing
And also create a master calendar table
I have sample code attached for this…. (I did not try to replicate your data, but main issue is missing calendar for all the values)
Let me know, how you get along
Regards
Although you do need to have a record for every date (either using Henric's solution or a calendar table or similar), I seem to remember that there is a bug in QV that it will only work for single-dimension line graphs. As soon as you add a second dimension (Goods in this case), then the nice flat line on your zeros disappears. Very annoying!
Apologies, I did not get you Jason or (perhaps I did not understand the question at all) After including another dimension, the chart is working fine… (with zeros and non-zeros)
I've opened your app in v10SR4, Kulbir, and I see the (first) attached image. As you can see, the line does not drop to zero after every non-zero value. It should look more like the second image I think.
OK - this is weird and hopefully someone from QlikTech will pick it up...
The attached file is the exact file Kulbir posted above but with one single change - "Show all values" is checked for the Date dimension.
If I open this file in v9SR7 (9.00.7778.9) I get:
...which I think is correct and would solve Alexander's original question.
However, open EXACTLY the same file in v10SR4 (10.00.9282.8) and you get this:
So a NULL Sector value has been introduced and the Sector plotting has skipped many dates.
I don't have a v11 environment here to test on.
Anyone have any clue what's going on?
Jason
like the second one
At least part of your solution here uses your Master Calendar technique, right?
