MS Project style Team Planner view

Has anyone implemented a Team Planner view in QlikView?

This is similar to a Gantt chart, but displays events by resource.  Please see the attached spreadsheet as an example.

This is basically the same as requested in this thread: http://community.qlik.com/thread/40676

Hi Perumal,

Your example is a Gantt chart, with one activity on each line.  The requirement we need to fullfill is to have one line per resource, displaying all activities involving that resource.

Please see the spreadsheet I attached to my original post.

Michael,

this is a nice challenge, so I spent some more time on elaborating something out of John's idea.

My current result looks like:

Multidimensional Gantt.png

I struggled a bit with the way how QlikView handles stacked bar charts, but finally I think this looks quite nice.

Please find attached my sample app. The script will automatically calculate the timeintervals with 'NoOp' - no operation - and create the records needed to get a correctly stacked bar chart.

Have fun (and if you struggle, too, just give me a note),

Thanks Stefan,

This looks like it might fit our purpose.  The idea of filling in the gaps with NoOp events is the key.

I still have a bit of work to get the time access working properly.  I am working with years of data with granuality at seconds.
