Test Server License. Unauthorized user sees QVWs in AccessPoint

I see something strange. I have hosted a QVW in a Test Server using a Test Server License. User has access to the Test Server QVWs, even though no license (DOC or NAMED) has been assigned to him.

I had removed the Allow Doc Cals assignment too. However, if i add the section access part , then the user (unassigned) can see the qvw in the access point, but cannot open it (unless I add him in the user matrix). I believe he should see "NO DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE"

Hi Selva,

Post Qlikview 10 this feature is available where if the user doesn't have access, it won't show the dashboard in the Accesspoint. Which Qlikview Version you are using?

One more thing is which type of Autentication you are using? DMS or NTFS.

If NTFS then check for the Folder rights.

Thanks

What authorization method are you using?

If you use NTFS, QVWs will show in the Accesspoint if the user have rights to the Folder or File even if he doesn't have any CAL. May be this is why you have this issue ?

Yes I am using NTFS authorization, maybe thats why...

Maybe I'll try to change that to DMS later and let you know.

Thanks for your replies.

Thanks,

What is the intent of adding the user to the Section Access, if they are not allowed to access the dashboard?

Rather you can remove them from your Section Access.

Qlikview internally check if in section access a user has an entry and then only displays it in Accesspoint (Post Qlikview 10).

Thanks...
