What's is the difference between task completed and succeeded?
I see difference in some jobs.
Hi Karthikeyan,
If I'm not wrong, it depends on the version of QlikView you have installed. From version 11.20 (not sure about the release) all tasks are either "Completed", "Warning" or "Failed". Before that, tasks where marked as "Succeeded". You can easily check that verifying that the Server version of QlikView in each server is different.
Hope that helps.
Miguel
Any help on this?
Hi,
As the name suggest that task completed means task is completed, but it may complete with and without error.
If you have used the errormode =0 then it will still execute the script and complete the task.
where as if it says task succeeded then it means task is completed without any error.
hope this is clear.

Hi Karthi,
Task completed: The reload is finished or task is finished WITH/WIHOUT error. If you have used Set Errormode = 0, and then your Log File may have some errors. Ignoring the error, the reload will continue and the task will complete.
Task Succeeded: If the reload of a file or task has been completed with ZERO errors/warnings or with no issues, then then the task can be said as succeeded.
Regards!!!

Hi Miguel,
This should be valid point.
I get completed in 11.2 or above and succeeded in below 11.2.
Let's ask other folks also verify the same .
Thank you so much for the inputs.
Regards,
Karthi
I got the same. 11.2, they are all "Completed". 11.0, I am getting "Succeeded".
Hope this helps.
