Hi All,
I need to set up the server in such a way that the Access Point could be accessible from Internet for other users as well who are outside of domain too.
Is there any kind of Reverse Proxy or DMG to be applied, or what other processes can be followed?
I am novice in this area, a clear and detailed explanation would be much appreciated.
Regards!
Hi,
For this kind of implementation, you need to buy the different type of server which is known as "Information Access Server".

Hi Kaushik,
Not much sure what an "Information Access Server" is. But from some other links and replied by you to assign the Public IP Address to the server. Plase refer below link. What's exactly as public IP Address is and how to achieve this?

I have my Access Point URL is like this below. Looking into this could you please help how this might have been set up?
Hi
Does this mean when you install QVS you can only access from the inside?
A DMZ installation can't work for an external access ?
best regards
Chris
Hi DMohanty
Depending on your requirements, you may find this link useful.
It explains what Information Access Server can be used for , essentially unlimited users on one dashboard.

The alternative is to set up a DMZ and allow only known users access to your Qlikview server.
Hi Chris,
It's not a technical issue rather than a licensing contravention. Indeed, if you want to share QVW files outside your organization, you should use the Extranet Edition server for extranet users or Information Access Server license if you want to allow anyone connecting to your site to see and interact with the QVW files.
This has its limits: the QES only allows 3 documents and IAS only allows 1, and only anonymous users. IAS may need QlikView Workbench to develop the dashboard.
Make sure you engage with your Partner Manager or Account Manager at QlikTech so he can advice you on the best licensing scenario to fit your needs.

Hi Miguel,
Thanks for your valuable suggestion. It seems to be quite strong.
I will get in touch with my Architects with your suggestions to set it up as per my needs.
Regards!!!
Thank you Miguel,
So if I understand well, If I want to open an access point to external people (something like QlikTech Demo site) I can't use QVS but I have to use either QES or IAS ?
What would you recommend, knowing my goal is to display (for a limited time) a personal client prototype.
Client = 1 client or 2 different clients
Best regards
Chris
Hi DMohanty,
You able to set up Access point link for external/Internet users?
If yes, please tell me the steps as well, it will be very helpful.
Thanks & Regards,
Bhuvan
Reread the discussion. You are not allowed to do this by your license agreement, except if you use an Extranet Server or an Internet Access Server. AFAIK Qlik demo site is hosted on an IAS.
