Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with crawling the web with qlikview. Qlikview has pretty nice funtionallity to crawl and format the data from webpages.
But what if lets say its a webpage where there are several PDF repports. Is there a way to script that when you reload, it will connect to that web page will open up the pdf repport and crawl the data from it?
(lets say there are just structured table in the pdf repport).
or is there anything else I can use to acomplish that?
Thanks in advance for your help.
/R.
Hi Roman,
I don't think this is possible with script only. I assume you would need any additional tool to downlaod the PDF and extract the data. But maybe we can try to find a solution. Can you paste a web link or upload a sample PDF file?

We can't load the data from PDF files into Qlikview directly. There is work around to load the data from PDF files.
1. We need convert the PDF files into .txt files by 3rd party tools.
2. Then load the these txt file into Qlikview.
