Good Morning,
I have a problem with the QVDistributionService service not starting, it's been running fine for weeks then it's just stopped. Having tried many different things including changing the user that runs the service, all the other QV services start using the same user.
I have uninstalled & re-install QV Server 11 but still won't start, the message is from the event viewer:

On our system. QlikView works fine including automatic reloads... Just those log-entries occur very very often
Somewhere I found the information that this issue is fixed in the latest SR, but it is obviously not.
Same with us,
Apparently all works fine, except those entries in the log.

Hi,
we have the same errors, but sometimes internet explorer crash, so the users have to open a new browser window, and then all it's fine.
Hi again,
How look the memory and CPU allocation when you got the error? Do you only get this for one reload? Is this something you got for all reloads ?
Can you please register the QVB, you can found it under:
c:\Program Files\QlikView\Distribution Service
Just run the QVB file and it should return that the qvb is successfully register.
And the one million question, Have you restart the server?
BR//Gonza
//check you don´t have old register keys in windows, the follow map should be empty:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QlikTech
Any solution ?
Hi Peter,
As standard QVS don´t have any config mode for Distribution service, you can test the following.
Change application data folder for QDS all togheter.
Go to program files > QlikView > Distribution Service.
Open QVDistributionService.exe.config, change the tag
<!-- ************ Program Settings ************ -->
<!-- Defaults to %PROGRAMDATA%\QlikTech\DistributionService -->
<add key="ApplicationDataFolder" value=" " />
To something entire different, like C:\Appdata\DistributionService < -- make sure to create this path
Save changes and close config file.
Then try and start QDS service again.
We are getting the same error, and eventually the server stops running.
A restart of QlikView Server and QlikView Web Server services resolves the issue - for a while.
Any ideas of what could cause this?
Configuration:
No Cluster
No Publisher
Server:
Windows Server 2008 SR2

He all,
We have the same issue.
We're running 11.20.12235, going to upgrade to 11.20.12742, don't know whether it will help but as far as I can see the issue cannot be resolved by proposed manners.
Best regards,
Maxim
