how to provide user an option to download qv plugin when they view the document

Hi All,

As per my requirement from the
portal if some one click on chart it will redirect to my qlikview document.

But the problem em facing is if the
user doesnt have qv plugin installed he is unable to vew the document.

So how can i make it simple for my
user..that when he click on chart i should give him qvplugin download url.. if
he already have it then he can ignore?

H ow to achieve this .Please replay
ASAP.

Hi,

You can enable the same from QlikView Server.

Yeah i did this.

But where will this seen for th end user i chked they are not able to get any url for download

have a look at attached image.

If that is not what you are looking then I would suggest to host pluggin in some share folder and ask end user to download that before they use QlikView.

You can find the pluggin in below path.

C:\Program Files\QlikView\Server\QlikViewClients\QlikViewPlugin

yeah .. but now i will just give URL

so if i share u the url of the document.and u dnt have plugin installed will u be able to see the document?

will u be notified for the installation of plugin?

If you share url of application and let say this user don't have pluggin installed then It will open with Ajax client in Internet Explorer by default.

That is why I suggest you another solution in advance.
