Is there a way to track the users who download a document off AccessPoint? I do not believe a session is created for download only since the document is not opened on QVS.I am not using borrowed CALs, so I can't test that way either.Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Phil
Are you using IIS or QVWS? I justed tested this with QVWS and if you look at the Webserver log you will see.

Hi Phil,
have you ever used the System Monitor app? http://community.qlik.com/qlikviews/1029
I tested a qvw download in my server and it appeared in the System Monitor app. Go to Services sheet, in the column Message it will have something like this:
"FileDownload: User DOMAIN\USERNAME initiated download of document XXXXXXX.qvw"
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
Fernando
I don't have a services sheet
Sorry Bill, I'm using an older version of System Monitor, didn't notice that this new version is different.
I checked this new version and it seems that you will find the download message in the Log Analyzer sheet, column Msg.
It turns out that the FileDownload message that Fernando refered to is included in the EVENT log, not the Session log, and only if High verbosity is set for Event log under Logging settings for QVS.
Thanks Bill and Fernando for your responses.

HI Phil,
Have you got the solution for this . Currently i also have the same requirement where our executive team wanted to track the report downloads made by our sales reps can you please help me with that.
Hi Vinay
event log from QVS with high verbosity will have this information. So then you can just load the log file inte a qvw.
