User Session - Time Out?

If I log into the hub and I am using a login access pass, if I log out after 15 minutes I assume that 15 minutes of my 60 has been used up leaving 45 minutes left.  Is this correct?

Now, if I log into the hub, and open an app, but then my session goes idle, i.e. I walk away from my computer, how long does the clock keep ticking against my 60 minutes?  How does Sense know when a session goes idle, or does it utilize the full 60 minuted if a user goes idle?  Can session time out be defined in the QMC?

Thanks,

If you log in and log out after 15 minutes (or 2 for that matter) you will consume an entire login access pass. The next time you sign in will begin another access pass.

Idle session time outs can be controlled by the QMC and has a default (30 minutes, I think).

I'm currently dealing with an issue where my sessions time out long before the default idle time out and even when I am using the application.

Just to make sure I understand, just by logging into the hub they automatically consume 1 login pass i.e. 1 hour, even if they log out or time out correct?

Now, if their session becomes active again with in the 60 minutes are they using their current / 1st login pass, and if it's greater than 60 minutes they consume the next one?

Thanks,

Both of your statements seem correct.

The following discussion is very appropriate: Qlik Sense Platform - Token Licensing and Assigning Access Passes (video)

However, I suggest you test thoroughly because some of the things I have experienced in my testing have been different from what this documentation suggests. Maybe I did it wrong, maybe I found a bug. Not sure.

What if user 1 logins for 15 minutes, logs out and then

User 2 logs in, is user 2 using the remaining 45 minutes

If user 1's session or does it start a new block?

That's two separate logins, so it would be two login passes, i.e. it uses another block.
