Hi all,
I have a scenario required where I have a qvw for creating qvds and another qvw which contains the actual visualizations. The requirement is as follows
1. When the database is updated the qvd extractor should be reloaded which creates the qvds
2. when the extractor completes the work It should trigger the second qvw.
This should be done in the server. I came to know this can be done using EDX and scheduling tasks in Qlikview.
Any detailed help on this from installation of EDX to successful reloading or any links will help me.
Thanks
Kiran Kumar

Hi all,
I am following this link provided by Sreeni, EDX in QlikView: What are, what for and how it does ? | QlikView Help, Tips & Hints
in the images I found "Source Documents" in QMC, I am eager to know that Is publisher required to implement EDX(trigger) because my present company doesn't have publisher.
Thanks
Kiran Kumar
Publisher is not required to use EDX. The link you reference appears to me to make things more complicated than they need to be. Have you read the document pointed out by Jonathan?
Download the EDX utility at the end of that document and check out the Help it generates.
